Good Newwz is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film directed by Raj Mehta and produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Hiroo Yash Johar, Shashank Khaitan and Aruna Bhatia under their respective banners Dharma. Productions and Cape of Good Films. Starring Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani, the film revolves around two couples who try with in vitro fertilization. Shooting began in November 2018 and was completed in April 2019. It was theatrically released in India on 27 December 2019.

Good Newwz Movie Plot
Varun Batra is the CEO of a Volkswagen showroom in Mumbai and his wife Deepti Batra is a celebrity journalist. The two have been a happily married couple for seven years, but struggle to conceive a child. Varun's sister Richa suggests the couple meet reputed fertility specialist Anand Joshi, who suggests that they do in vitro fertilization (IVF), a fertility technique that will increase their chances. They agree, Varun presents the sperm samples, and Anand places Varun's sperm in Deepti's embryo.
12 days later, Varun and Deepti are hurriedly called by Anand's wife Sandhya Joshi. Here, the two meet another couple, Honey Batra and Monica Batra, who have also done IVF. Anand accidentally reveals that a sperm mix has taken place: Varun's sperm has been mixed with Monica's egg, and Honey's sperm is mixed with Deepti's egg. Shocked beyond belief, both the couples attacked the two doctors. Doctors suggest that couples go for a minor procedure so that there is no chance of conception. Varun later learns from Honey that Monica is pregnant with Varun's child, and Deepti is pregnant with Honey's child, but due to his rudeness, Honey fears losing her child as Deepti has also become pregnant. . He vows to stop Deepti's abortion, and he and Monica rent a flat just above Varun and Deepti, much to the dismay of the couple.
Varun and Deepti initially express their frustration against Honey and Monica for interfering in their lives in the first six months of pregnancy. However, during a routine check-up in the seventh month of pregnancy, Sandhya advises Deepti to try to talk to Monica, who is probably emotionally distressed. Realizing that she needs to try to understand the situation, Deepti asks Monica to go out for street food, during which they get to know each other. Deepti learns that Monica had had two miscarriages, which makes her sympathetic, and the woman bonds. However, Varun still holds a negative attitude, especially since Deepti is not carrying her child. She first stands by Honey and Monica's side, angrily telling Varun that she never cared to understand anything that happened after the accident.
Varun, with Deepti's confrontation still fresh in his mind, attempts to bond with Honey when they meet at a bar, and they almost get along with each other, until Honey Deepti. Does not express concern over the work commitments of the child, which they feel will have a negative impact on the child. Varun, enraged, snatches Honey in an authoritative manner, and all else fails. The argument between the two escalates until Varun comes out and Honey is arrested by the police when the manager's call comes.
That night, in the midst of heavy rain, Monica approaches Deepti in desperation: she has gone into premature labor and Honey is nowhere. Varun quickly takes Monica to the hospital and she gives birth to Varun's child. While the newborn baby, transferred to a critical unit in critical condition, is born with a respiratory defect, exacerbated by Monica's history of miscarriage, with little chance of survival. As soon as he comes to know that the child is indeed his, Varun starts crying and hugs Honey when he comes with a warning. Even when Honey and Monica meet again, he goes home and breaks into Deepti's arms, apologizing for his past insensitivity.
For a few weeks, both the couple pray for the child's recovery and Monica stays in the hospital as Deepti visits her. The baby finally recovers and after 2 months, Deepti also had a successful delivery. Varun, now a changed man, invites Honey and Monica to meet the child. The two couples eventually reconnect and accept each other with each other's children in their arms.

The songs are written by Kumar, Rashmi Virag, Tanishk Bagchi, Sukhbir, Gurpreet Saini, Ari Leff, Michael Pollock, Herbie Sahara and Vayu. The background score is composed by Jon Stewart Eduri.
The song "Sauda Khara Khara" is a remake of Sukhbir's original hit, composed by Lijo George-DJ Chetas, while the song "Lal Ghaghra" is a remake of the original hit of Sahara and Sangeet, and recreated by Bagchi, Jo Ek Joda interlude in a recreated version of Daler Mehndi's hit song "Ho Jayegi Balle Balle".

Reception
Taran Adarsh gave the film 4 out of 5 stars and said, "Excellent. This is a sure hit. smart writing. Fantastic humour. Heartfelt sentiment. Brilliant acting Akshay, Kareena, Diljit, Kiara. 2019 will end with a big winner with Good Newwz. News18's Rajeev Masand gave the film 3 out of 5 stars and said, "If Good Newwz doesn't derail when the tone is changed, it is because the actors stay honest and are committed as the narrative develops. The heart of the film is its cast anyway."
Box office
Good Newwz earned Rs 17.56 crore at the domestic box office on the first day. On the second day, the film collected ₹21.78 crores, on the third day, the film collected ₹25.65 crores, taking the total opening weekend collections to ₹65.99 crores.
As of 21 February 2020, with ₹208.21 crore in India and ₹40.36 crore overseas, the film has a worldwide gross of ₹248.57 crore and is the seventh highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2019.
